She stepped back a few steps again, removing Reks' hand from her shoulder. He's...right there.. she opened her mouth so she could summon her rapier once again (despite it being that she was the one who let it disappear again in the first place), but words failed to come out. Maigo had very little to say, yet so much to do although she seemed to have tremendous difficulty in carrying out her "plans". What exactly was she supposed to say in a situation like this?

"N..No." was the answer she managed to squeeze out from her throat which had now, to her, felt somewhat constricted.

Vance set his hand on Reks' shoulder. "You don't need to drill her for answers. I'm not dead and apart from things being a little out of the norm, things are alright."

His head looked behind him to see Vance. "Are you joking? She almost killed you and if I didn't come along when I did, one of you would have been dead by now." He looked Maigo again, wondering what in the hell had gotten into her.

She once again tried to take a step back, but failed because for some reason, she couldn't move. She shut one eye as though from some kind of pain. Maigo could only look at Reks' face that, now wasn't a very calming sight to behold being that he wasn't really in the best mood. His stare practically held her in place. "W-well..there's not really much else to say..I already answered your question; nothing happened." she said dryly. What was she thinking? That was an obvious lie. If nothing had happened then she wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. She winced before quickly correcting herself, "I mean..nothing serious ofcourse..." she had Vance's wound that went through from his back to his chest in mind, but he had classified it as it being rather minor, so that obviously wasn't much of a big deal now was it?

He shook of Vance's hand and walked to Maigo who had stepped back some. "Nothing Serious?" He pointed to Vance. "You could have KILLED him Maigo, none the less you injured him. Is that how a friend greets another friend? By attempting to murder them?" He shook his head. "Why are you doing this Maigo, I thought that I...." He clenched his fist tightly.

"I...can't do much about it now, can I?" she said, still petrified in place. Her facial expression was that of mixed sadness, frustration and some hatred all at once. "It's my business isn't it?" she avoided meeting his gaze by looking off to her side.

"It is also my business Maigo! You and Vance are my friends... or at least I thought you were." He looked at her and placed his hands onto her shoulders. "Maigo, why have you done this? There was no point into attacking Vance, both he and I care for you can't you understand that?"

Again she winced from his hands being set upon her shoulders. "I don't know w-why I did it.." she grimaced, trying to get rid of the stuttering that came from her feeling of uneasiness.

He tried to look at her eyes, she was acting much more differently then she has ever had before. "Whats the matter Maigo? What wrong, what happened?"

"I told you nothing happened, damn it!" she knocked his hands off her shoulders, then she gathered the nerve to look at him in the eye. You should've been dead.. she thought. Maigo glared at him for a few moments before speaking again. "What else do you want me to say?"

Vance stepped in between them. "Settle down, both of you. I think this could be much better resolved with words instead of actions. Reks, my wounds are only as bad as I judge them to be, and Maigo, if somethings wrong you should at least say something before killing me."

"I would expect concern, but not directed towards me. I'm just as worried about her as you are, but drilling her isn't the best means of finding out whats what." He returned Reks' stare unflinchingly.

Maigo cursed under her breath as she listened to the two bicker. She tried to think back to the exact moment where she had "lost it" to try to figure out why she did it, because Maigo herself didn't quite know either.

She thought again of walking behind Reks then stabbing him in the back just as she did Vance with her rapier...but Vance would be watching and knowing him, he would interfere and it would only lead to more complicated situations.

Again Maigo was apparently battling that "other side" of hers in her mind. It's all a valid reason though. Was it wrong? I don't think so...after all, I don't have much to lose. she thought. .."MUCH to lose"?... Maybe I just got bore- NO that's stupid!! Thoughts kept rolling into her mind as she had to find an answer to each and every one of them. Several times Maigo had thought of ways already to attempt to kill Reks, all those times she had stopped herself mostly because she knew it was practically impossible right now.

"It is impossible for you and I to actually be close"...that's what the human said. That being said I don't see any reason why I shouldn't go on and finish him off... her mind flashed back to the day back in Dublin where she and Reks were both sitting on the edge of his parents' bedroom bed, looking at the photos of his family like old friends. Even at that moment she had to admit that she felt like one of the family herself.

Once again Maigo tried to move away from the two thinking that if she left now, they would both hopefully forget the situation being that no other means of escape had came to mind, but again her feet wouldn't budge. It was as though Reks' glare was still holding her feet in place. Well, she could fly away I suppose..but no, that would be cowardly and for one thing, she was NOT a coward.
