Exploring the US once more; What has changed in 200 years?

Katy sighed and glanced once at Erido before taking off after Kai. She could smell the fire as well, but she honestly wasn't as worried about it. With everything going on now around the world, one small fire was really nothing. But she wanted to speak to Kai, so she chased after them anyway.

When they got to the fire, Kai knew he was right. He leaped in, and a few moments later pulled out a young boy around the age of fifteen. He phased back into a human, straightened his jacket, and put the boy over his shoulder. Before he could even ask for a good hospital, Jess told him about teh one down the street. Kai jumped there in one great leap, landing with just a little bit of sound. He rushed in, handing the boy off to a nurse.

Katy followed them to the hospital, but stayed after they had gone. She hovered as the doctors examined the boy and determined that he had no more injury than a few minor bruises and burns. She was once again amazed at the miracles that could be worked if someone was reached and treated quickly enough. Every time she witnesses something like this, she remembered how different things had been medically a couple hundred years ago. She was thinking of this as she left the hospital and looked for Kai.

Erido showed up last at the hospital and smirked "Flames, Heh." He then turned away and sat on the bench watching the fire."They can handle it for now....Ill just wait for the guest..." As he said that he slowly listened in fazing out of the reality before him homing on the two insane vampire's heading toward the hospital, He knew they were coming not that of a trap but of the fire's light. Erido was prepared he then latched onto his sword and was ready to pull the sword at any second for when the vampires arrived.
